Are you a driven, diligent, and commercially astute Sales Manager?

My client is a global manufacturer of cosmetics, working with the most luxurious brands in the industry. This is a rare opportunity as recruitment is incredibly infrequent; They pride themselves on offering clear development opportunities and succession plans internally. They also invest thousands into training to their management teams to be the most positive influential mentors to their teams.

The purpose of this role is to lead the Account Managers, whilst managing clearly defined Key Accounts which you will inherit from the business development teams. The successful candidate will have management experience of at least two direct reports, and strategic account management experience within either a contract manufacturer, or raw materials supplier.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high value key accounts, focusing on growing product ranges with those existing accounts
  • Manage team of seven Account Managers, with the support of the Sales Director. The Account Management team is highly efficient. They have responsibility for managing everything related to their accounts from P&L’s, cost management plans, forecasting, underwrites etc.
  • P&L Responsibility for key accounts inherited from business development team
  • Be a guardian of the commercial strategy and understand fully the focus areas at the beginning of each year. Build a focused plan to prioritise specific retailers at the beginning of the year.
  • Use information given to you by the Marketing and Innovation teams on the latest product and ingredient trends, and translate this information to your customers in a way which is bespoke to them

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience as a Key Account Manager at a senior level with a contract manufacturer, or ingredients supplier within the personal care product manufacturing industry
  • Management experience with at least two direct reports
  • Strong capabilities in Excel/PowerPoint skills to underpin rigorous commercial data understanding and sales presentation skills.
  • Driven & self-motivated, a strong planner and well organised.
  • Solve problems creatively for customers to balance the aims of the business whilst accommodating the key accounts needs
  • Strong NPD knowledge

SENIOR Key Account Manager

My client is a leading beauty brand owner with a portfolio of brands across the beauty, wellness and gifting categories. Due to continued growth and success, the opportunity to recruit a Senior Key Account Manager has arisen to manage key retail accounts including Waitrose, Boots and Sainsburys

The successful candidate will be motivated, articulate and analytical with experience in managing Waitrose, Boots or Sainsburys within the beauty, wellness or gifting categories. In return, my client offers a competitive package, supportive work environment and excellent career prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact between the brand and its retail and distributor partners in both the UK and Internationally.
  • Support Co-founder in achieving retail sales targets through effective communication, the development and implementation of strategic plans and maximising the business to its full potential by retailer.
  • Work alongside Co-founder and Marketing team to successfully deliver seasonal campaign activations in-store and online
  • Effectively plan promotional calendars and JBPs in collaboration with retailers
  • Be a guardian of the commercial strategy and understand fully the focus areas at the beginning of each year. Build a focussed plan to prioritise specific retailers at the beginning of the year.
  • Lead new business development on prospective trade partners who are aligned to the brand.
  • Plan Trade Day meetings and other strategic retailer meetings and share with teams in due time to ensure that all agenda points are aligned upon and actionable.
  • Responsible for all in-store marketing materials and liaising with designers to bring these to life.
  • Educate and upskill retailer staff on the brand and products by hosting trainings.

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience as a Key Account Manager for major UK retailers, including Boots, Waitrose or Sainsburys
  • From a category such as beauty, healthcare, cosmetics
  • Strong capabilities in Excel/PowerPoint skills to underpin rigorous commercial data understanding and sales presentation skills.
  • Driven & self-motivated, a strong planner and well organised.
  • Solve problems creatively for customers to balance the aims of the business whilst accommodating the key accounts needs
  • Office based 3x days per week, 2 days working from home or with customers (subject to business needs)

  • Supervise the operation and efficiency of the online sales platform to deliver a smooth customer experience.
  • Manage and enhance product visibility and sales performance on third-party marketplaces such as major online retailers.
  • Spearhead digital campaigns to increase website traffic, improve customer conversion rates, and maximize online revenue.
  • Guide and support the digital commerce team, fostering accountability and skill development while achieving key objectives.
  • Partner with internal teams across marketing, operations, and sales to streamline product launches, promotional activities, and customer outreach initiatives.
  • Direct customer relationship initiatives, including rewards programs, email campaigns, and retention strategies to maximize engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to assess the success of online strategies and adjust plans based on insights.

  • Explore and capitalize on opportunities for growth through emerging online platforms and digital channels.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing online retail operations, with a strong emphasis on digital advertising and customer engagement tools.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing online platforms and achieving significant revenue increases.
  • Solid knowledge of user experience (UX) design fundamentals and expertise in customer relationship management systems.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze metrics and develop actionable improvement strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Genuine interest in health, well-being, and sustainability, aligning with the company’s core mission and principles.
